Description:
Princeton Nursery School (PNS) presents the first Our House—Your House Pop-Up Art Gallery from January 25 through February 13, 2014. Chaired by Sandra Allen and curated by Shannon Connor, Indigo, and Dawn McClatchy, Look Indigo, this fascinating exhibition features original artwork by many local artists. This three week event will feature special luncheons, art lectures and a special jewelry trunk show, as well as allow patrons to purchase unique pieces in a variety of mediums including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, photos, furniture and sculptures.
This event was made possible by Mark Allen from The Lawrenceville School Class of '14 for his passion and desire to help PNS students. Preview the Pinot to Picasso, Vintage 2009, Tombola Gallery online and at various Princeton stores and restaurants from April 16-22.
Pinot to Picasso ~ Vintage 2009, the Arts Council of Princeton’s fourth annual art and wine tasting fundraiser, will be held this year on Friday, April 24th from 6:30-9:30 pm at 1 University Square (Alexander Road and Route One). This gala kick-off to the Princeton Arts Weekend and Communiversity Festival of the Arts has been described as “the liveliest and hippest art related event in Princeton.”
Approximately 500 guests are expected to attend the festivities, which include The Best Tastes of Princeton, an exciting selection of foods donated by select local restaurants including DiSh Catering, JL Ivy, Mediterra, Ome Caterers; small word coffee; Tre Piani and bent spoon, and a tasting of wines from around the world provided by CoolVines. Also included are: a wine-related Silent Auction, and a “Wine Grab.”
The event décor will be urban edgy with an interactive dance choreographed by modern instructor/choreographer Dawn Cargiulo Berman,
formerly of Momix. Floral arrangements are courtesy of Spruce.
The highlight of the evening is the Art Tombola, a draw of approximately 80 works of art contributed by a select group of local artists. The number of Tombola tickets available will be limited to the number of pieces of art. Artwork will be previewed from 6:30-8:00 pm, at which time the Tombola drum will begin to roll. In the end, each Tombola ticket holder goes home with an original work of art.
This year’s Art Tombola will be technologically enhanced with a custom designed wall sized video display compliments of SureTech.com. Pinot to Picasso provides its artists with great exposure to new audiences, as collectors not only have an opportunity to view the donated works and learn about the artists by visiting the event website, but also can view the artwork by strolling through town. Participating Princeton stores and
restaurants will display Pinot works for approximately two weeks prior to the event.

The Art Tombola ticket holders are sure to note their favorite pieces for at 8:00 pm the drawing begins. These participants will have just one minute each to choose a treasure to take home for their personal art collection. This evening is sure to be filled with
excitement and suspense.
