Overview
Mary M. Michaels graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, in Baltimore, with a B.F.A. in art teacher education. She subsequently received her M.B.A. in Business Administration from Philadelphia University.
She primarily creates small-scale landscape paintings in pastels on location, and concentrates on local Bucks County and Mercer County vistas that have been permanently set aside as open space for future generations to enjoy. You can view a video of several of her pastel paintings set to music. In addition, she has audio demos of her voice acting, showcasing her range of vocal styles. Previously, Mary was the Global Director of Training Evolution, Certification, & Strategic Advisor at Human Factors International (HFI), specializing in interaction design and user experience issues. She is a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA), a Certified User Experience Analyst (CXA), and received her Customer Experience (CX) Certificate from Rutgers. Most recently, she was a Principal User Experience (UX) Researcher at Elsevier, located in Philadelphia, and worked on nursing education products, primarily SimChart for nursing, as well as HESI, Sherpath, Compass, and EAQ.
